This afternoon course will be held at the East Anglian Railway Museum at Chappel Railway Station in Colchester.
This two hour session will be formed of a series of short talks about some of the lost railways of Essex. Railways discussed include the two former lines to Maldon, the Mistley-Walton Railway in Tendring, the Flitch Way and the ‘Old Gin Line’ in Thaxted.
The talks will be given by both Tony Crosby, Chairman at the Essex Industrial Archaeology Group and Tim Murphy, Historic Environment Manager at Place Services Essex County Council.
