We are seeking a Principal Consultant Arboriculture to lead on all arboricultural matters and take responsibly for the operational management of the arboricultural team.

You will identify, develop and deliver on all arboricultural projects, contracts and Service Level Agreements ensuring delivery on time and in budget to ensure profitable operation, whilst expanding the client base and increasing business. You will establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers and clients, and you will be a role model in in delivering high quality outputs and excellent customer service.

The role requires excellent organisational skills to ensure effective and profitable delivery of existing projects, prioritising work whilst maintaining focus on key projects or activities within defined timescales.

Educated in arboriculture to degree level or equivalent, you will be able to showcase your extensive post-qualification experience, along with your professional membership of the Arboricultural Association (M.Arbor.A) and/or working towards full membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters (MICFor).

It’s essential that you have experience in delivering arboricultural consultancy to a high standard, including BS5837 surveys, tree management policy and strategy, tree risk assessment and tree inventories, with evidence of maintaining an excellent knowledge of legislation, planning policy and good practice relating to arboriculture. You will have a good understanding of commercial practices and how these contribute to the success of the wider team.

You’ll be an expert in relationship management, highlighting your skills in maximising profitability, improving relationships with existing accounts, developing new leads, and increasing diversity within the organisation’s client base.

Above all, you will have exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills as networking and building relationships is key to develop the arboricultural services and expand the client base throughout Essex and beyond.
