David Buckley


David joined Place Services as a Built Heritage Consultant in October 2024, having previously worked as a Local Authority Conservation Officer in Oxfordshire and the East Midlands.

He has provided evidence at planning appeal inquiries and hearings in relation to the historic environment. He is experienced in providing advice on significance in the historic environment and mitigation strategies on schemes at a variety of scales and contexts.

He has experience in producing conservation area management plans, local heritage lists and advising on heritage aspects of neighbourhood plans and local plan site allocations.

He has extensive experience with heritage projects in a wider context, having previously worked as a Local Authority DM Principal Planner in London and Southeast England.

David is a full member of the IHBC and the RTPI.
