Mike has extensive experience working within the public and private sectors in all aspects of Arboriculture, and practical Woodland Management, as well as wider experience in the conservation management of semi-natural habitats. As a former tree officer and tree surgeon he has been responsible for managing extensive local authority tree stocks, including health and safety checks and contract supervision.
As a practiced surveyor with the ability to report on various issues including tree health / hazard assessment, BS5837 surveys and tree related subsidence, Mike has sound knowledge of tree biology, chemistry and plant physiology. He also has good tree/shrub (native and exotics) identification skills.
Bringing great depth of experience to all aspects of our Arboricultural services, combined with an understanding of wider conservation issues, Mike regularly works on projects that require a multi-disciplinary approach, to recognise Arboricultural constraints and deliver appropriate mitigation.
