Announcing the Return of The Festival of Essex Archaeology & Heritage

We are pleased to announce the Festival of Essex Archaeology & Heritage is returning to Cressing Temple Barns following the success of last year’s event.
Taking place on Thursday 23 July 2026, the festival will feature family activities, museum exhibitions, archaeological organisations, societies and re-enactment groups, along with falconry displays.
The event will build on the success of the 2025 festival by bringing the county’s past to life through a programme of talks from leading archaeological and historic experts.
