Hadleigh Farm Conservation Grazing

In 2025 we began working with The Salvation Army on a major wetland project at their Home Farm in Hadleigh, Essex.

Through our Legacy Grazing service, we are providing conservation management with native breed livestock across 105 hectares of former arable land that has been restored to provide habitat for breeding waders such as Lapwing and Redshank.

Located in the Thames Estuary and sitting beneath the ruins of Hadleigh Castle, the project is an ambitious Countryside Stewardship scheme next door to Hadleigh Country Park, where we have also played an instrumental role helping Essex County Council deliver an award-winning environmental ‘legacy’ following the hosting of the 2012 Olympics Mountain Bike event.
