Alexandra joined Place Services in August 2025 as an Ecological Consultant after working in the private sector since 2018. She has a bachelor’s degree in Ecology and Conservation from Canterbury Christ Church University and a master’s degree in Species Identification and Survey Skills from University of Reading.
Alexandra is a holder of a great crested newt level 1 class licence. In her previous role, her work involved a variety of surveys on a range of sites spanning from the small residential developments to the big infrastructure projects. She has experience in acting as Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) along with surveying for protected species such as bats, amphibians, reptiles, badgers, birds, hazel dormice and more.
Her current role at Place Services involves supporting the team of ecologists by assisting with project delivery including filed surveys as well as providing ecological advice to Local Planning Authority officers on planning applications for Essex County Council and its District and Borough partners.
