Hallie is a recent addition to Place Services’ Ecology team, who has been keeping busy responding to planning applications and taking part in badger-monitoring project work. She has experience in badger, reptile, water vole, and bat emergence surveys, and has taken part in extensive bird census surveying with the British Trust for Ornithology.

She is keen to get involved in projects involving a wide range of different species, so that she can make an informed decision on which area to specialise in. Hallie is a Current Qualifying Member of CIEEM and a qualified PADI Divemaster and BSAC Advanced Diver, with experience of scientific diving and underwater census surveying.

At university, Hallie completed a year of research on invertebrate visual perception of mimetic accuracy in hoverflies; in the process, she helped to co-author a scientific manuscript which has recently been accepted for publication in Nature.
