Meg is a graduate from Writtle College, having obtained a First Class (Hons) degree in Horticulture in 2014. Since joining Place Services in July 2015, Meg has become a Professional Member of the Arboricultural Association, giving her the opportunity to keep her knowledge up to date and relevant through attendance at seminars, conferences, and lectures.

Meg joined as a Junior Consultant but has since progressed to a Consultant, Senior Consultant, and then Principal Arboricultural Consultant role.

Throughout her degree, Meg gained a firm understanding of the physiology of trees and surveying, enabling her to report on the health, safety and condition of trees.

Since joining Place Services, Meg has been involved in surveys carried out on trees in the London Borough of Hackney, management of highway trees, schools, Essex County Council properties, Country Parks, and parish councils. She is also involved in development-led work involving surveys and reports in line with British Standard 5837: 2012, including project management on both housing and flood alleviation schemes. She is also actively involved in insurance cases relating to trees.

Meg has completed the LANTRA Professional Tree Inspection course, as well as Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue. She continues her professional development by attending seminars and is currently undertaking a Master’s Degree in Arboriculture and Urban Forestry through Myerscough College.
