Place Services is proud to present the inaugural East of England Exchange to Copenhagen in Denmark 14-16 September 2020. The Exchange will focus on the themes of social housing, housing design and delivery.
The East of England Exchange is a non-profit making project bringing together professionals, communities and international bodies. It aims to improve the quality of development through the international exchange of knowledge, ideas and best practice.
Denmark has a strong and successful history of delivering social housing schemes and this exchange provides an ideal opportunity to visit and explore methods and approaches. It is open to professionals anywhere in the UK working in both public and private practice and will enable them to learn from some of Denmark’s leading figures in social housing and housing design.
The programme will include 11 site visits, Q&A sessions and user forums over three days. Highlights include keynote speakers from the City of Copenhagen Technical and Environmental Administration who will provide an overview of social housing in Copenhagen. Renowned Architects Vandkunsten will lead a series of site visits reviewing social housing including mixed use and mixed tenure. There will also be a public realm site visit to Superkilen, an urban park project in one of Copenhagen’s most diverse neighbourhoods.
There is a nominal charge of £1,246 plus VAT which covers flights, accommodation, transfers, visits and talks and meals during the exchange.
