We worked with Essex Housing Development LLP and Saunders Boston Architects on the proposals for a new, modern library facility that will replace the existing building. The new library will feature an outdoor learning space, flexible community areas, smaller meeting rooms, and office spaces for community use. These proposals have been shaped through months of consultation with library staff, the public, and other users. The development will be funded by 38 high-quality apartments built on the upper floors of the site, providing much-needed homes in the area while supporting the creation of a sustainable and vibrant community hub.

The scheme got planning consent in October 2023.
