Environmental Impact Assessment
Place Services works with selected public bodies and local authority teams to provide ecological support for infrastructure delivery projects, including water infrastructure, highways and public buildings. This includes preliminary ecological assessment, a full range of protected and priority species and habitats surveys, and the design and delivery of compensation and mitigation schemes.
Our services apply to schemes that require planning consent and those considered to be permitted development, with our approach to reporting being proportional to the difference in requirements. Our focus is on ensuring that projects comply with all relevant legislation and guidance so that all duties and obligations are met, with enhancement of the natural environment.
Recent projects include major new road schemes, water company pipelines, school extensions, and a multitude of highways improvement and flood management schemes.
