Abi gained a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Studies at the University of Manchester and went on to complete an MA in Cultural Heritage Management at the University of York.
During her studies, she was a member of a heritage planning subcommittee, which led to her interest in working in historic building conservation.
Since graduating she has worked for the York Civic Trust and the Council for British Archaeology, supporting them in their planning and listed building casework.
