Joe is an Assistant Ecological Consultant who has recently graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a MSc degree in Biodiversity Conservation. He has experience in assisting in Surveys for Great Crested Newts, Bats, Water Voles, and Breeding Birds, and carrying out Odonata and Extended Phase 1 Habitat Surveys. He also has previous experience in preparing Ecological Impact Assessments and Biodiversity Net Gain reports. 

Joe’s role is to support the existing team of ecologists by assisting with project delivery and working as part of the wider Place Services multidisciplinary team. This includes providing ecological advice to Local Planning Authority officers in relation to planning applications, for Essex County Council and for our District and Borough partners.
