Charlotte is an Ecological Consultant at Place Services and has over six years’ experience as a professional ecologist, having previously worked as an Ecologist with Essex Wildlife Trust’s ecological consultancy. She is a competent botanist who has undertaken numerous ecological site appraisals and habitat surveys.

Charlotte is BNG trained and has prepared multiple BNG assessments, is accredited for River Condition Assessments and has achieved Level 4 FISC. She is also experienced in a number of protected species surveys including water vole, otter, reptile, badger, great crested newts and has previously taken a particular focus in birds surveys.

She has a wide range of experience in field surveys, project management, report writing and data analysis across a variety of projects including water infrastructure, nature reserves, councils, residential and commercial.

Charlotte undertook her Bachelor’s degree in Zoology at the University of Reading. She has also spent time abroad working on various overseas projects, including researching hummingbird diets in Costa Rica which resulted in the publishing of a scientific paper, detailing a new behaviour for hummingbirds found during her research.

Charlotte is a Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management, and has attained a Natural England Class Licence to survey Dormice.
