Vicky is a Built Heritage Consultant at Place Services, currently providing Conservation, Planning and Listed Building Advice to Uttlesford District Council.
She previously worked in a heritage consultancy, providing advice for a number of high-profile cultural buildings and sites including the Royal Opera House, Canterbury Cathedral, the British Museum and Highgate Cemetery. She has experience of producing a wide range of reports including conservation plans and heritage statements for listed buildings, Conservation Area appraisals, recording reports and listing reviews. She has also carried out several visual condition surveys for historic buildings, drawing on her background in Building Surveying.
Vicky has a research interest in the architectural development of historic theatre buildings. She delivered a lecture on the changing design of the proscenium at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane for the Society for Theatre Research and contributed to a short film about the theatre architect Frank Matcham for Angel Sharp Media. She also attends the Casework Committee of the Cinema Theatre Association, providing advice on planning applications and proposals which affect historic cinema buildings.
