Charlie joined Place Services in December 2020 after graduating with a degree in Conservation and Environmental Studies from Writtle University College. Charlie joined as an Assistant Consultant and has since progressed to Consultant, completing his ABC Level 4 certificate in Arboriculture and passing his LANTRA Professional Tree Inspection assessment.

He became a Professional member of the Arboricultural Association in 2022 and continues his professional development by attending courses, workshops, and seminars within the sector. Recently Charlie has achieved the European Arboricultural Councils VETCert consulting specialist qualification, recognising his commitment to the management of ancient and veteran trees.

Charlie is involved in surveying and reporting on the health and safety of ECC owned trees and undertaking surveys for clients. He works across a range of projects, including undertaking surveys in line with BS5837:2012 and producing Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Arboricultural Method Statements for a range of infrastructure and development schemes. Charlie also provides arboricultural support and advice to our Local Planning Authority clients regarding Tree Preservation Order, Conservation Area and Planning application decisions.
