Laura Johnson


Laura joined Place Services in 2018 as a member of the Historic Environment Team working as a Built Heritage Consultant. Since working here she has provided conservation officer support to local authorities in Hertfordshire and Essex and now primarily covers the Braintree district. As well as providing consultation responses for local authorities, she has also written Conservation Area appraisals for Braintree, Welwyn Hatfield and authorities in the West Midlands, providing initial research into potential Conservation Areas and suitability for designation as well as amendments and reassessments of existing designated Conservation Areas.

Laura has a MSc in Architectural Conservation from The University of Edinburgh and a degree in History of Art from The University of Leeds.
